The AI models behind Codend

Codend 1.0 for everyday work, and frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google when a task needs more. Here is what each plan includes.

The Codend team•November 3, 2026

No single model is best at everything. Some are fast and cheap, some reason more deeply, some are better at code or at design. Codend lets you choose the model for each task in the composer, and each plan unlocks a different set.

Codend 1.0

Codend 1.0 is our own agent configuration, tuned for building and changing apps end to end. It is fast, low on credits and available on every plan, including Free. For most everyday tasks, it is the one to start with.

Models on each plan

  • Free: Codend 1.0 and GPT-6 Luna.
  • Plus: everything in Free, plus Gemini 4 Argon for frontier reasoning and coding.
  • Pro: everything in Plus, plus GPT-6.1 Sol, Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Claude Opus 5.5 for complex work.
  • Max: everything in Pro, plus Claude Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra for the deepest reasoning.

Stronger models use more credits per task. The model picker shows how each one compares on speed, intelligence and cost, so you can pick the right one for the job.

Images for what you build

When a site needs a hero picture, an illustration or a logo, Codend can draw it. Every plan includes fast image models such as FLUX 3 Klein and Recraft V4.1 Flash; paid plans add GPT Image, Nano Banana, Recraft V4.1 and more.

Changing as models improve

New models arrive every few months. We test them on real Codend tasks and add the ones that do the work better, so your plan gets better without you changing anything. The current lineup is always in the model picker and on the pricing page.

From a task to a pull request

Describe the work in plain words. Codend plans it, writes the code, runs your tests and hands it back for you to review.
