Refund Policy

Last updated November 6, 2026

The short version

  • Purchases are generally non-refundable, subject to billing errors, delivery failures, applicable law and Polar's Buyer Terms.
  • You can cancel at any time; your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Verified incorrect or duplicate charges are eligible for correction or refund through Polar.
  • Start on the free plan to try Codend before you pay.

01Our policy

This Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Service. Using Codend incurs costs for AI models, sandboxes and hosting. Purchases are generally non-refundable, subject to the exceptions below, applicable law and Polar's Buyer Terms. Polar processes and evaluates refunds as merchant of record.

Codend has a free plan so you can try the product before you pay. Please use it to make sure Codend fits your needs before you buy a plan or credits.

02Subscriptions

  • Monthly and yearly plans are billed in advance. Unused subscription time is generally not refundable, subject to the exceptions in this policy.
  • You can cancel at any time in Settings > Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan and its credits stay available until the end of the current period.
  • Forgetting to cancel does not by itself entitle you to a refund; the exceptions in this policy still apply. Cancel to stop the next renewal.

03Credits and credit packs

  • Credit packs and plan credits are generally not refundable, subject to billing errors, delivery failures, applicable law and Polar's Buyer Terms.
  • Credits have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money or transferred to another account.
  • Credits used by a task are not returned if you are unhappy with the result. Check the plan the agent shows you, and stop a task at any time if it isn't going the way you want.

04Changing plans

  • When you move to a higher plan, a prorated charge may apply. Review the amount before confirming. The same refund rules apply to that charge.
  • When you move to a lower plan, the change takes effect at the start of your next period, so nothing is refunded and you keep your current plan until then.

05Billing errors

If you were charged in error, for example twice for the same purchase or after cancelling in time, contact hello@codend.dev with your account email and the charge date and amount. Verified incorrect charges are eligible for correction or refund through Polar.

If paid access was not delivered, contact us so we can investigate and restore it or arrange an appropriate refund with Polar. This policy does not remove remedies available under Polar's Buyer Terms.

06Your rights under the law

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you and can't be waived. Where such a law gives you a right to a refund, we will honour it.

07Chargebacks

Payments for Codend are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. If a charge looks wrong, please contact us before you dispute it with your bank, so we can resolve it quickly. A chargeback may suspend your account while it is reviewed.

From a task to a pull request

Describe the work in plain words. Codend plans it, writes the code, runs your tests and hands it back for you to review.
