Introducing Codend

An AI agent that turns a task in plain words into working code, a live site or a pull request, and checks its own work before it hands it back.

The Codend team•November 3, 2026

Codend

Most of the work that fills a backlog isn't hard. It's a landing page for a launch, a bug that only happens in Safari, a dependency that is three versions behind, a report someone has to write every Friday. It takes time because someone has to sit down and do it.

Codend is an AI agent that does that work. You describe a task in plain words. Codend plans it, writes the code, runs it in its own sandbox, checks the result and hands it back for you to review. Today it is open to everyone.

One task, one sandbox

Every task gets its own computer in the cloud. Codend installs what it needs, runs your app, reads the errors and fixes them, the same way a developer would. You watch it happen: the task panel shows the live preview, every file, every change and the terminal.

When it is done, you get the result, not a list of instructions. A site you can open. A pull request you can merge. A report you can send.

Built for real projects

Connect GitHub and Codend works in your repository. It always works on its own branch, runs your checks and opens a pull request, so nothing reaches your main branch until you merge it. Connect Notion, Supabase and other tools, and a task can read the spec, the data and the context it needs.

From prompt to published

For websites, Codend goes all the way: it builds the site, checks it in a real browser, and publishes it to a codend.site link or to your own domain in one click.

Work that repeats itself

Some tasks come back every week. Put them on a schedule and Codend runs them for you, such as dependency updates every Monday or a test run every night, and leaves the results waiting.

Start today

Codend is free to start, with credits every day. When you need more, Plus, Pro and Max add monthly credits and stronger models. Create an account and give it your first task. We can't wait to see what you build.
